Chelsea Sheehan, Psy.D.


Saoirse Psychological Services, LLC is owned and operated by Chelsea Sheehan, Psy.D.  

Dr. Sheehan was awarded her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Midwestern University, Glendale (Arizona) in 2019. She completed an American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Predoctoral Internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and postdoctoral residency with the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Sheehan is licensed in Florida and Utah and opened Saoirse Psychological Services, LLC in 2021.

Dr. Sheehan has provided a variety of treatment interventions and assessments in state and federal prisons, inpatient facilities serving juveniles and adults, assisted living facilities, and private practice. She has provided group and individual psychotherapy for substance abuse, trauma, grief and bereavement, sexual offending behaviors, and co-occurring mental illness in both correctional and community settings.

Her training was rooted in the integrated behavioral model and she enjoys collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care for a variety of patient needs.

Dr. Sheehan is credential as a Health Service Psychologist (HSPP) by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. She has completed the Florida Adult Forensic Examiner Training required by Department of Children and Families. Dr. Sheehan is a member of the American Psychological Association (Divisions 33, 41, and 42), Florida Psychological Association, and Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.

Parinaz Villafrate, Ph.D.


 Dr. Villafrate is a Florida licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a specialization in Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. With over a decade of experience, she brings a deep commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care—particularly for underserved and justice-involved populations. She has served as a psychology subject matter expert for research and remains actively involved in research and supervision, supporting doctoral interns and colleagues in advancing evidence-based practices.

Her clinical work has focused on supporting women impacted by trauma, substance use, and systemic inequities, including survivors of human trafficking and female offenders. She has held multiple leadership roles including training and mentoring the next generation of psychologists. Dr. Villafrate is nationally recognized for her expertise in multicultural and multilingual therapy practices. She has developed and led training initiatives on diversity and inclusion, helping clinicians across the country provide more equitable and effective care. 

Dr. Villafrate is passionate about expanding access to mental health services in the community and continues to advocate for holistic, person-centered care that honors each individual’s needs and lived experiences.
